The Jonny Halifax Invocation are a shapeshifting collective of sonic pioneers, defying convention and genre, transcending boundaries with their mind melting blend of cosmic blues, free jazz and primal psychedelia.
The band’s two albums; ’Açid Blüüs Räägs Vol.1’ and Açid Blüüs Räägs Vol.2’ and EP releases on God Unknown Records have brought critical acclaim in the music press, becoming a regular feature on BBC 6 Music Marc Riley & Gideon Coe Show, where they have performed live sessions.
Their intoxicating live performances, often playing ‘in the round’ surrounded by a henge of smoking amplifiers, and painted in their liquid lightshow are an otherworldly audio visual feast. In the past 12 months such performances at London’s Mildmay Club and Walthamstow Trades Hall have become the talk of legend.
