EALING BLUES FESTIVAL IS BACK WITH THE ULTIMATE CELEBRATION OF EALING’S ICONIC MUSIC HERITAGE AND THE ‘NEW WAVE’ OF BLUES MUSICIANS FROM BRITAIN AND THE U.S.A.

The founding of The Ealing Blues Club by Alexis Korner & Cyril Davies on 17 March 1962 is generally acknowledged as the catalyst for British Rock Music.
Mojo Magazine called Ealing ‘The Cradle of British Rock’. Founded in 1987, the Ealing Blues Festival has been the event which has carried on Ealing’s Blues/Rock Heritage.

Set in the stunning environs of Walpole Park, Ealing Blues Festival is one of the godfathers of Ealing’s flagship programme of festivals.
The line up brings together blues, rock, folk and country to two stages, headlining veterans of the guitar scene alongside emerging talent from across the UK.

FEATURING IN 2024:

Sons Of Cream

SONS OF CREAM

Eric Clapton sat in with Blues Incorporated at The Ealing Blues Club and it was here that Bassist Jack Bruce and Drummer Ginger Baker met whilst auditioning for them. The result was the forming of CREAM who would become one of the biggest bands of the ‘60’s.

We are delighted to have SONS OF CREAM celebrating CREAM’s musical legacy. The band features drummer Kofi Baker (son of Ginger) and bassist Malcolm Bruce (son of Jack).

SELWYN BIRCHWOOD (U.S.A.)

Beating 150 other acts to win the 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, he was signed to premier Blues label, Alligator Records. He is one of the current wave of musicians maintaining the heritage in ‘The Land Where The Blues Began’. Rolling Stone Magazine said, ‘A remarkable contemporary Bluesman… a powerhouse young guitarist and soulful vocalist… a major player… highly recommended’.

WHEN RIVERS MEET

Multiple winners in The UK Blues Awards. When Rivers Meet are one of the rising bands of the current Brit Blues scene with their most recent album even making it into the Top Ten. Fronted by singer, mandolinist, violinist Grace Bond and her guitarist husband Aaron they blend roots Blues and Rock attitude.
